Snow

Everything is going good with me. I worked at my host site for a week and then it shut down for the Christmas Season. So once again I'm at the YMCA but it's pretty cool. I get to do front end reception today and then just random little tasks, but hey better than sitting in a classroom :)

So over the last few days we've had snow, which is really awesome, except that Ontarian's don't know how to drive in it. Today I left for work at my usual time around 7:50 AM and once I get onto the main road there was this one person driving 60 and the speed limit is 80 and for one the roads weren't even that bad...well I didn't think so, and two they should learn how to drive. Anyway, when it was safe, I passed her but because my window washer fluid wasn't working I had to stop at the gas station to clean my window and by the time I pulled out she had just driven past the gas station. So once again I was stuck behind her along with a whole line of cars. By that time it had slowed down to about 30kms which I drove all the way to Waterdown. Then I had to clean my windshield again, after that I pulled back into traffic and was going down a big hill behind a semi, that when it put it's brakes on his trailer swung over the next lane a bit and I'm starting to freak out that I'm going to hit it. Following that thing I was only going about 5kms/hr. So needless to say I was 10 min late for work. Took me an 1hr 20 min to get to work which usually only takes 30min.
I think I'm done venting.  :)

Hey Everyone,

Just thought I'd update my blog since I haven't done that in a while. Well everything is going good. I will be going to my host site soon since training is almost finished! Yay!! Can't wait, it'll feel like I'm actually working as now all I do is sit in workshops all day. But I've learned a lot from them, they teach you all the little things like stress management, budgeting, feedback, time management and so on.

Well today we finally got a little bit of snow and when I say little I mean it. It barely covers the ground. I miss my Alberta winters already :( but hopefully we'll get some more soon! We've had a lot fog the last couple of weeks so in about 3 months there might be snow, hopefully not rain.

This is not supposed to sound like a letter but somehow it does. :)
I don't have any pictures to put on here this time as I haven't had time to take any. Maybe next time!

The sunset the last of couple of nights has been awesome amazing and because of the time change I happen to see it every time cause the sun's already going down when I'm driving home from work. So the other day I took a couple of back roads and snapped these pictures.

This one was of today's sunset. It was a big firey ball trying to hide behind the clouds.

This one looks like something blew up!



Since there are so many stairs in our house Danielle decided instead of just walking down the stairs she'd use the banister! It's quite funny especially since it's not very sturdy.

Water wheel

On our way to Cambridge, we saw a park that had an old water wheel in it and decided to go take pictures by it. It was built by some highschool students who were studying them.

Today Danielle and I went to Paris to take pictures by the river because while we were driving through there a while back we saw a cool spot to takes pics.

Unpacking

Ok my pictures are out of order but I was looking at pictures on mom's camera and found these of when we were unpacking the container, which btw wasn't fun because Steph and Kim were in B.C. so we had to do most of it :P This was how me and Dani helped..jkjk..

On the dolly inside the cupboard sits Danielle screaming! She had crawled in there to hide from mom but then mom got this idea to tie a strap around the door so she couldn't get out and then start moving it into the house. I am told that it was quite a bumpy ride. hehe.  but it was funny!



Neil and Jeff

Here are some of Neil and Jeff. It was funny trying to get Jeff into the tree. Apparently he's afraid of heights which I didn't know so he had this scared expression on his face the whole time.

I got some more pictures of Neil while I was taking pictures of the Jeff.

Today I finally got pictures of Jeff. He really doesn't like his picture being taken, but I got him!

The bottom right picture he was trying to get Neil to smile and this is what he was doing, so I quickly turned the camera around and SNAP! I didn't even look to see if he was in the picture :)

  I still haven't had time to take pictures of Jeff and the leaves are starting to disapear so I don't know if I'll get them on my blog.

I just love the fall colors out here. They're amazing. So today Danielle and myself went to enjoy it some more right here in our own front yard. These ones are of just Danielle otherwise there would be a million pictures on here.

 

Lake Ontario

On Friday Louisa and I went to Lake Ontario. It was beautiful outside, with a big blue sky, a bit of wind but it was gorgeous.
